Use this page to find a batch, check on its codes, download them, and clean up codes or batches you no longer need.

The Coupon Batches list

Open Coupon Batches in the main menu to see all your batches. Each row shows the batch name, its type (Generated or Manual), how many codes it has, its status, and when it was last updated.
  • Search by name and filter by status. The status counts above the list show how many batches are preparing, ready, in use, or in error.
  • Select a batch to open it. Tick one batch to Download its codes, or tick one or more to delete them from the menu next to Download.

A batch has three tabs.

Settings

Rename the batch and change its eligibility, combinations, and limits. Beside the settings you see:
  • Codes: the total number of codes in Shopify.
  • Status: the current status, with a progress line while codes are being added.
  • Timeline: a log of what happened to the batch. It includes code adds (and any codes Shopify refused), settings changes, and download requests, with who did it and when.

Codes in Batch

Every code in the batch, with how many times Shopify has recorded it being used (Uses). Use this tab to:
  • Search for a code. Search matches from the start of the code, so SUMMER finds SUMMER2024, but 2024 does not.
  • Add codes. See Adding codes.
  • Download the codes.
  • Delete selected codes.

Linked Offers

The offers that use this batch. See Using coupon batches with offers.

Download codes

Download a batch to share its codes. You can do it from the Codes in Batch tab or from the list (one batch at a time). The batch must be finished and synced with Shopify, so Ready or In Use, and no add can be in progress.
  1. Select Download.
  2. Choose the fields to include:
    • Coupon code: always included.
    • Redemption link: optional. A link that applies the code to the customer’s cart. A sample link shows what it will look like.
  3. Confirm. A CSV file is prepared and downloaded. For large batches the file is prepared in the background, and the Timeline shows Preparing… until it is ready.

Delete codes

To remove individual codes:
  1. Open the Codes in Batch tab and tick the codes.
  2. Select Delete, and confirm.
The codes are removed from the batch and from the Shopify discount. Customers can no longer use them.

Delete a batch

  1. From the list, tick the batch and open the menu next to Download, then select Delete batch. You can select several at once.
  2. Confirm.
Deleting a batch is permanent. It removes the batch’s discount from Shopify and then deletes its codes from Atom Commerce. It cannot be undone.
A batch that an offer uses cannot be deleted: you will see “The batch cannot be deleted when linked to an offer.” Remove the batch from those offers, or delete the offers, and try again. On the Linked Offers tab, deleting the last offer lets you delete the attached batch at the same time.
